Arrêter la tétine 18.05.2026

My child has a round pacifier, they'll never accept the Clipp pacifier... What should I do?

Comment faire ?

My child only uses a round pacifier – they'll never accept Clipp… What can I do?

We hear this concern a lot from parents on our social media:
“My child only accepts round pacifiers and refuses all other shapes… What can I do?”
Good news – Clipp has already helped many children who were using a round pacifier. How? Let’s explain it all here.

How to Introduce the Clipp Weaning Pacifier

At Clipp, we encourage parents to play an active role in weaning. Your attitude has a huge impact on how your child accepts the new pacifier. Smile, stay positive, and your child will follow your lead!

Start by preparing your child:

– Talk about growing up and why stopping the pacifier is good (for teeth, speech, health, etc.).

– Choose a storybook about dummy weaning for bedtime.

– Tell them you’ve found a magical pacifier that will help them stop – and it’s on the way!

Children love games. So why not make the arrival of Clipp exciting?

– Wrap it as a present, tell them it’s a “magic” pacifier, or go to the letterbox together every day to wait for it.

Once Clipp arrives – make it a celebration!

– Praise them, add a small gift (like our playful calendar), or plan a fun family dinner.

– You can even create a “goodbye box” together, where they put their old pacifiers. From now on, Clipp is their only dummy – and the weaning begins!

They tried it – and it worked!

We’ve helped many families start gentle weaning with Clipp. And usually, children fall into two groups:

1. The “It’s a big change” kids

Switching from a round pacifier to Clipp can be a huge step. At first, they may complain or reject it. But with your support, encouragement and cuddles, this stage passes quickly.

🎉 Congratulations – you’ve just crossed the biggest hurdle!

2. The “Parents worry more than kids” kids

Sometimes, children adapt easily – especially if we keep it fun.

If that’s your case, follow your child’s rhythm. Add each clipp as slowly as they need – even over several weeks if needed.

Remember: every child is different.

But with a gentle approach and lots of support, they’re all capable of leaving the pacifier behind – in their own time, and with a smile.❤️
